چکیده
ABSTRACT We present the integral-field kinematics and stellar population properties of 64 galaxies (61 are Early-Type galaxies; ETGs) with Counter-Rotating Disks (CRD) selected from about 4000 in MaNGA survey, based on evidence counter-rotation or two velocity dispersion peaks kinematic maps. For 17 CRDs, counter-rotating components can also be separated spectroscopically. The frequency CRDs is <5 per cent for ellipticals, <3 lenticulars, <1 spirals (at 95 confidence level), consistent previous estimates. produced age metallicity maps, compared to those general ETGs population. found that have similar trends ETGs, but less metallic at low masses, show flatter steeper gradients, average. A comparison fields ionized gas stars reveals 33 cases corotates either inner (15 cases) outer (18 disc, nine it misaligned. In most younger disc. Evidence multimodality 31 galaxies, while 14 youngest least massive ongoing star formation; instead, exhibit unimodality, oldest massive. As a result, our work indicates form primarily via accretion retrograde rotation respect pre-existing

Stellar Populations in the Central Galaxies of Fossil Groups
It is inferred from the symmetrical and luminous X-ray emission of fossil groups that they are mature, relaxed galaxy systems. Cosmological simulations and observations focusing on their dark halo and inter-galactic medium properties confirm their early formation. Recent photometric observations suggest that, unlike the majority of non-fossil brightest group galaxies (BGGs), the central early-t...
متن کاملStellar kinematics of barred galaxies
I show that the counter-rotating core of the barred galaxy NGC5728 could be explained by the internal dynamics of the bar. This supports the idea that the nuclear bar is counter-rotating.
متن کاملStellar Metallicity Gradients in SDSS Galaxies
We infer stellar metallicity and abundance ratio gradients for a sample of red galaxies in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS)Main galaxy sample. Because this sample does not have multiple spectra at various radii in a single galaxy, we measure these gradients statistically. We separate galaxies into stellar mass bins, stack their spectra in redshift bins, and calculate the measured absorption-...
متن کاملStellar population analysis on local infrared-selected galaxies
Aims. We study the stellar population of local infrared galaxies, which contain star-forming galaxies, composite galaxies, LINERs, and Seyfert 2s. We also want to find whether infrared luminosity and spectral class have any effect on their stellar populations. Methods. The sample galaxies are selected from the main galaxy sample of SDSS-DR4 and then cross-correlated with the IRASPSCz catalog. W...
متن کاملStellar population gradients in Seyfert 2 galaxies . Northern sample
We use high signal-to-noise ratio long-slit spectra in the λλ3600-4700 Å range of the twenty brightest northern Seyfert 2 galaxies to study the variation of the stellar population properties as a function of distance from the nucleus. In order to characterize the stellar population and other continuum sources (e.g. featureless continuum FC) we have measured equivalent widths Ws of six absorptio...
